Disney has released two new clips from The Jungle Book — one that will make you laugh as you reach for a snack, and another that will make you feel…some things. Let’s just get the emotional part of this out of the way up front so we can end on a more positive note, okay? Unless you feel particularly emotional about food, and in that case, feel free to reverse your viewing order.

Disney has released a new TV spot for The Jungle Book, offering a fresh look at Jon Favreau’s live-action / CGI adventure with a little bit of new footage thrown in for good measure. Titled “Live the Legend,” the spot opens with Ben Kingsley’s Bagheera, the panther mentor of young Mowgli, explaining the (bare?) necessity of returning the boy to the jungle.

In the comedy classic Groundhog Day, Bill Murray’s curmudgeonly newscaster Phil Connors starts to lose his mind after repeatedly living the exact same February 2 over and over again. For the low price of ten pounds (approximately $14 in real money), patrons of Liverpool’s Small Cinema can now live Phil’s Groundhog Day experience for real — but not the part where he seduces beautiful women, or becomes a better person, or is Bill Murray. Really just the repetition and its accompanying descent into madness.

Back in October we learned that Wes Anderson is returning to the world of stop-motion animation for his next film, which is about the life of dogs. As predicted by just about everyone when the initial voice cast was announced, frequent Anderson star Bill Murray is re-teaming with the director to lend his vocal talents to the project — obviously.

We won’t have to wait long into December for Bill Murray’s upcoming Netflix Christmas special, the aptly-titled A Very Murray Christmas, but it’s never too early for holiday cheer (especially for franchise coffee). In any case, the full star-studded trailer has arrived, including Clooney, Poehler and more, but not Pope Francis, apparently.

We haven’t known what to make of Bill Murray Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas, from initial announcement to first trailer, but even in October, new details and promotion of the wandering comedian guru’s holiday hijinks crop up. On the one hand, Murray seems just as confused by Netflix as we are by him, while writer Mitch Glazer also muses the possibility of a yearly special.

We know, we know. A few weeks out from Halloween, and already Christmas specials are making their presence known. Still, we’re not ones to question Bill Murray, especially if the first promo for his star-studded, Sofia Coppola-directed Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas lives up to its promise.

Disney’s trend of adapting its animated classics into live action blockbusters has resulted in movies both good and bad, but The Jungle Book looks like it could be something special. The first trailer for the film has arrived and it rightfully puts the emphasis on the animals. Sure, young Mowgli is doing all of the running and the jumping, but we really care about the wide variety of creatures forcing him to do that running and jumping in the first place.
