We remember the very first time we saw 'Boardwalk Empire,' and thought to ourselves "golly, this is pretty swell, but gosh darn it if all this sex, crime and murder wouldn't be a bit better with chicken puppets."  Thankfully, we no longer need fear copyright infringement or crippling lack of funding, now that 'Sesame Street' has made its own parody of the HBO gangster drama!  Nope, you're not dreaming!

Boy, that Gyp Rosetti just can't keep a lid on it, can he?  Though last week's somewhat slower 'Boardwalk Empire' outing "Spaghetti & Coffee" saw Bobby Cannavale's gangster character largely keeping his overactive temper in check, this Sunday's upcoming episode "Bone For Tuna" will likely prove even more explosive as Nucky is forced to negotiate with Gyp to continue his bootlegging business.  But as the newest clips from the episode have us asking, who's really in control here?

After introducing us to a Jimmy-free world in last week's premiere, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 3 sets conflict a-brewing with its second episode of the year as Eli Thompson is finally released from prison, and Gyp Rosetti makes a move against Nucky's organization while Chalky White finds his daughter's young beau looking for her hand in marriage.
Last week’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’ premiere “Resolution” saw Nucky becoming something of a philanthropist as he hosted a New Year's party and severed several business ties, while Margaret found a new purpose at the hospital. So how does "Spaghetti & Coffee” keep things running?  What will season 3 of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ bring?
Read on for your in-depth recap of everything you need to know about ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 3 episode, "Spaghetti & Coffee!”

We imagine there are going to be quite a few eyes this Sunday on a certain...other...program beside 'Boardwalk Empire,' though it stands to reason that 'Boardwalk' might come up once or twice.  Regardless, this Sunday will see the second episode of 'Boardwalk Empire's third season, an already explosive venture as new gangster Gyp Rosetti lights his short fuse all across town to wages war on Nucky Thompson.  So what do the new clips reveal, and where's Chalky White been all this time?

For all the shocking events that concluded 'Boardwalk Empire's landmark second season, the departure of one particular character went largely overlooked.  So with Michael Shannon's Nelson Van Alden setting up shop in Cicero, Chicago, well known as the eventual stomping grounds of Al Capone, might he run afoul of the law himself?  And what new character will have "ice-water in his veins", according to clips from the September 16 premiere "Resolution?"

After the devastating hour that was 'Boardwalk Empire's second season finale "To the Lost," we knew that the series would never again be the same.  Not only did one of the series most crucial characters fall by the wayside, their death changed Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) in a way that will reverberate throughout the upcoming third season.  With that said though, will death really be the end?  Might said character return from the grave in 'Boardwalk Empire' season 3?

'True Blood' season 5 and 'The Newsroom' have all come and gone, and will 'Falling Skies' fallen behind and the fifth season of 'Breaking Bad' about to break for the year, our Sunday's are looking increasingly bare.  However are we to tide over the wait until 'Boardwalk Empire's season 3 premiere, with an ocean between now and September 16?  Surely we're not as dry as prohibition, but how about a new season 3 trailer to whet your whistle?

'Boardwalk Empire' Season 3's NEW Official Poster

The other day we were elated to find a new poster from 'Boardwalk Empire' season 3, a bad-ass new one-sheet that saw Nucky Thompson standing in the rain over the body of a fallen friend, artfully recreating the climax of season 2 finale "To the Lost" under the tagline "you can't be half a gangster."  Sadly, that poster had to be taken down, but what better way to drink to the lost than to check out a brand new 'Boardwalk Empire' season 3 poster?
