Just the other day, we heard Steven Spielberg and George Lucas discuss an upcoming radical shift in the way movie theaters operate and today, we have what may be our first glimpse at this crazy future. In conjunction with next week's release of 'World War Z,' Paramount has introduced the concept of a "Mega Ticket." Here's how it works: you pay $50 to see the new Brad Pitt zombie blockbuster and you get a whole bunch of goodies, food and souvenirs along with the screening. But, do you think it's worthwhile?
'World War Z' is a film about fighting zombies, and it's funny that the film has screened (and screened well) but is still fighting undead rumors about it being a total disaster. We saw the film and liked it, but it's going to need good word of mouth to be one of the hits this summer. Perhaps it will get better word with this clip, which sets up how Brad Pitt is forced into action to stop the zombie apocalypse.
With 'World War Z' less than a month away, we're going to start seeing a lot more from the zombie epic. (Some lucky people have already seen the actual movie!) Today brings us a handful of new posters from the Brad Pitt-led film just to give you an idea of how big of a disaster this zombie disaster movie will face.
Last night was the first ever public screening of 'World War Z,' this summer's big zombie action-thriller. That would've been enough excitement for the fans in Hoboken, NJ who lined up for hours for their first look at the film. But they got an added surprise: Mr. Brad Pitt.
We were in attendance and after all the fuss, it turns out that 'World War Z' is actually...a pretty good movie.
'Fight Club' was more controversial than successful when it came out in 1999. But David Fincher's gritty and highly stylized film adaptation of novelist Chuck Palahniuk's meditation on consumerism and masculinity has only gained in stature since its release and is now considered to be a modern day screen classic.
See what the cast of 'Fight Club' is up to these days.
In the past we've griped a little that the promo material for 'World War Z' was hiding the zombies, which seemed just a bit counterproductive for a big zombie movie. No such complaints today, however, as the first featurette for the summer release has arrived, introducing us to plenty of crazed swarms of the undead. Check it out after the break!
