Of last year’s many Oscar snubs, David Oyelowo not receiving a nomination for his commanding leading performance in Selma was a total shock. 2014 was Oyelowo’s breakout year, and Selma cemented his place as an intensely talented star. The actor has a few films hitting theaters this year, and one hitting the small screen, as well: Nightingale, the new HBO film from producer Brad Pitt. And judging by the first trailer, Oyelowo knocks this one out of the park — but are you really surprised?

If you're a big Fight Club fan (and, if so, who can blame you), you might have seen a lot of the subliminal messages cut throughout the film like the many split-second Tyler Durden appearances or the occasional flashes of, ahem, the male anatomy. But, here's something you may have missed: director David Fincher says there is a Starbucks coffee cup hidden in every scene of the movie.

Robert Zemeckis has been turning things around with his last couple of films following a trio of CG-heavy features, criticized for their “uncanny valley” quality. First there was the Academy Award-nominated ‘Flight,’ and up next is ‘The Walk,’ the thrilling story of real-life high-wire artist Philippe Petit, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. After that? Zemeckis has already lined up his next project, with mega star Brad Pitt.

Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are set to reunite on the big screen in the upcoming film ‘By the Sea,’ but apparently the actress/director has so much fun working with her husband (why not, right?) that she wants to cast him in her next directorial project. Jolie has set her sights on her fourth film, ‘Africa,’ and she wants Pitt to take the lead.

When you think of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling, you don’t exactly think of high comedy—does Christian Bale even smile?—yet, the three have signed on to star in ‘The Big Short’, a new film based on a script by ‘Anchorman’ and ‘Step Brothers’ director Adam McKay, who may also direct. Before you get too excited at the prospect of stone-faced Method actors Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling co-starring in a goofy comedy, spoiler alert: it’s not a comedy.

For the majority of his appearance on Zach Galifianakis' painful, funny, and painfully funny 'Between Two Ferns,' Brad Pitt seems to be losing out to his host in a big way. At one point, he appears to be trying to hide behind an actual fern. Later, Louis C.K. comes out and stares dismissively at the superstar. Galifianakis calls Pitt's latest film 'Furry.' It's pretty standard 'Ferns' stuff, and Pitt takes it like a champ.

Logan Lerman discusses filming ‘Fury,’ a challenge for obvious reasons when you’re working day in and day out with a giant deadly weapon – ‘Fury’ follows the lives of a World War II tank crew; Lerman plays the “new kid,” Norman – but won’t discuss the hazing he endured because he doesn’t want anyone to look bad. (OK, that’s pretty good media training.) Lerman also discusses his first two roles, ‘The Patriot’ and ‘What Women Want,’ and how Mel Gibson, of all people, really jumpstarted his career.

Ah, the magic of dance! Expressions made through movements of the body! Words don't matter! Wait-- is that Brad Pitt? Instead of lining up the Hollywood superstar for a standard sit-down chat, 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon had another plan for 'Fury' star Pitt on last night's show: a "Breakdance Conversation." Who needs words when you have cardboard, an old warehouse, and -- let's be real here -- super talented stunt doubles? This just might be the best Brad Pitt interview ever, if only because when Pitt really is dancing, he displays a natural grace that's a lot more interesting than a series of on-set stories about that time Shia LaBeouf pulled out his own front tooth in the name of art.

David Ayer knows that, with ‘Fury,’ he’s made a polarizing movie. It’s fascinating when not a director not only reads the reviews, but is openly talking about those reviews before a movie has even opened. Ayer is exaggerating when he says “the knives are out,” (‘Fury’ currently sits at 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), and has its fair share of support to counter those that don’t – but Ayer is right when he calls it polarizing in the fact that the people who like it, really like it, and the same can be said for its detractors. ‘Fury’ sure does cause a reaction.

If you liked Brad Pitt in 'Inglourious Basterds' (who didn't), then you're probably pumped to see him fighting Nazis again -- this time in 'Fury,' the latest film from David Ayer.
