A few weeks ago MTV announced their understandable decision to cease production on Appalachian reality series 'Buckwild,' following the tragic accidental death of perhaps its series' most memorable star Shain Gandee. Producer J.P. Williams didn't take too kindly to the cancellation, vowing to continue the series on another network, but has MTV officially shut down 'Buckwild' for good?

Very late last night brought the news that MTV's 'Buckwild' would officially halt production, canceling the series after the tragic accident that took the life of 21-year-old star Shain Gandee and two others via carbon monoxide poisoning. Today MTV has issued its official statement on the matter, with plans to aid a special dedicated to Gandee this Sunday, but producer J.P. Williams had some harsh words for the cable network over the cancellation of MTV's 'Buckwild.'

Just over a week ago brought the tragic news that 21-year-old 'Buckwild' star Shain Gandee died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning, along with his uncle and a friend in rural West Virginia. Following the tragedy, MTV postponed a decision on 'Buckwild's' second season, but now it seems the network has officially decided to halt production on the Appalachian reality series.

Yesterday brought the bizarre and tragic news that 21 year-old 'Buckwild' star Shain Gandee had been found dead after 31 hours missing, along with his uncle and a third unidentified male inside an off-road truck. The truck's position within the muddy woods initially made the bodies difficult to retrieve, but the circumstance and autopsy results have conclusively revealed the three died of carbon monoxide poisoning, says the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.

Terrible, shocking news to report this afternoon that we sadly wish was an April Fools prank, but is instead all too real. 21 year-old West Virginia native Shain Gandee, memorable star of MTV's freshman reality series 'Buckwild' was found dead this morning in a vehicle, along with several others identified as his uncle, and an unidentified third man. The cause of death has yet to be reported, but we'll bring continued information on this bizarre, and tragic story inside.
