Remember how Elizabeth Banks had such a great time during the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, accepting one of those golden popcorn trophies from the 'Magic Mike' hunks? Now she's getting even more love from Channing Tatum and his crew with a role in 'Magic Mike 2,' which officially revealed the full cast roster and plot details.
Matthew McConaughey may not be back for more super-sized 'Magic Mike 2' action, as the head honcho from the original feature won't be returning for whatever delights its sequel holds for us, but the film is lining up a very, ahem, eclectic cast so far.
'22 Jump Street' gave us one of the most hilarious end credits sequences in comedy history, and one that seemed to signal to audiences that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were done with making 'Jump Street' movies, as it delivered concepts for about 20 fake sequels. But not so fast: '22 Jump Street' writer Rodney Rothman has been hired to return for '23 Jump Street,' so it seems like Ice Cube's threat to send our favorite undercover cops to medical school might not be out of the question.
On first viewing, Channing Tatum's video about his new obsession, 'The Dick Graze' (#DickGraze for the Twittersphere), earned a reaction along the lines of, "Stop trying to make 'fetch' happen. It's not going to happen." But then, keeping in mind that "fetch" actually did happen, and how idiotic us men can be (Ha! Dick graze. Giggle), we're ready to embrace this song-and-dance routine of the '22 Jump Street' star peddling his new thing/hashtag.
‘Foxcatcher’ – directed by ‘Moneyball’ director Bennett Miller – premiered Monday at the Toronto International Film Festival after a highly successful debut at Cannes earlier this year. It’s the true story of the intricate relationship between two brothers and Olympic wrestlers -- Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) and Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) – with their wrestling team financier and sort of coach, John du Pont (Carell), of the famed and extremely wealthy du Pont family … a relationship that ends in paranoia and disaster.
Instead of one full-length 'Foxcatcher' trailer (which would traditionally run around 2:30), Sony Classics has been issuing one-minute teasers for the film. We've got another new teaser trailer today, which focuses on Steve Carell's role as John du Pont (you can watch the previous teaser, focusing more on Channing Tatum's character, below). It really is remarkable to see how Carell has not only changed his looks (those teeth, my god, those teeth), but also his cadence. With labored breathing and long pauses, it doesn't sound like Steve Carell at all.
Guillermo del Toro is famous for attaching himself to projects that immerse moviegoers in vast, fantastical worlds, and the new 'Book of Life' trailer previews his upcoming venture during the Mexican Day of the Dead across three mystical settings.
Every year, Comic-Con comes complete with some major surprises -- be it the announcement of an unexpected film or the reveal of a major piece of casting -- but rarely do such surprises involving rap superstars randomly popping on stage in the middle of a panel to sing their biggest hit alongside one of entertainment's most beloved leading men. In what has to be a first-time event, Biz Markie interrupted the 'Book of Life' panel to jam out to his classic jam, "Just A Friend," and was then...joined by star Channing Tatum?
You haven't quite seen Channing Tatum and Steve Carell like this before. The second teaser trailer for 'Foxcatcher' has arrived, the new darkly comedic drama from 'Moneyball' director Bennett Miller, and we're getting pretty pumped about this film.
