Superhero films are really into the whole “choose a side” thing this year. Batman and Superman, the X-Men and Apocalypse (okay, that’s easy — Oscar Isaac and Michael Fassbender’s side, obviously), and the most brutal super-battle of them all: Iron Man and Captain America. Civil War is coming, and while the trailers have given us plenty to consider in the fight between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, Marvel’s latest batch of images gives us more to contemplate.

There were a lot of Captain America: Civil War fans who were waiting for another full trailer after the Super Bowl 50 commercial. That trailer has yet to arrive, but Empire Magazine has just debuted the cover for their Captain America: Civil War issue, which features a pretty rad new image of Cap and Iron Man going face-to-face...

Whose side will you be on when Captain America: Civil War hits theaters next May? From what we’ve seen in the trailers, there won’t be any clear winner in this battle, but if we had to choose a side, we’d probably stick with Cap.

Disney may be having itself quite a weekend, but another corner of the empire will start to pull focus in 2016, as Marvel fans gear up for Captain America: Civil War. 2016 will also mark the 75th anniversary of the character, for which ABC has drafted an hour-long Cap special to air just before the Season 2 premiere of his best gal, Agent Carter.

Thanks to the source material, trailers and cast and director interviews, we already know what causes the divide between the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War. Marvel has released a new official synopsis that’s a bit more informative than the previous description, teasing Tony Stark’s “surprising decision,” though it seems like Steve Rogers is the one who’s subverting our expectations.

“Do you really wanna punch your way out of this?” That’s what Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow asks Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers as a civil disagreement between Cap and Iron Man develops into all out war in the new international trailer for Captain America: Civil War. It’s a little shorter and more streamlined than the first official domestic trailer, but that doesn’t make it any less effective — in fact, this one might be better than the first.

And in other Marvel news… In addition to that Doctor Strange featurette, another bonus video from the studio’s deluxe Phase 2 box set has arrived online, this time focusing on that other highly-anticipated Phase 3 film — Captain America: Civil War. The new featurette goes inside the “rift” between Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America, which causes a divide between their fellow Avengers and sparks a very personal battle between friends.

That new, extended trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice offered a momentary distraction from the other epic superhero battle hitting theaters next year. Marvel gave us a whole lot to dissect when they dropped the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War last week, but we have some new photos and details from the cast, along with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, to help us sort this family affair out.
