Chris Pine has been confirmed in the role of Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince in the upcoming Wonder Woman solo movie, but the set photo that appeared over the weekend featured Pine in period attire, leading to a few raised eyebrows. Rumors have consistently suggested that at least some of Wonder Woman takes place during World War I, but surely Pine isn’t appearing in only part of the film, right? A new rumor may provide an answer.

Although Wonder Woman doesn’t hit theaters until 2017, it looks as if filming has already begun on Gal Gadot’s solo superhero adventure. Wonder Woman will make her debut next spring in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, while co-star Chris Pine has just popped up in a new set photo, giving us our first look at Steve Trevor — along with a new cast member.

When Bob Orci left the director’s chair on Star Trek Beyond, we all kind of assumed that there might be some delay in the film’s originally scheduled release — as it turns out, that delay isn’t as big as you may have feared. Star Trek Beyond has been filming in Vancouver for the last month, but has been doing most of its work indoors, where prying eyes can’t get an early look at the new costumes and new characters. Well, that all changed this week as director Justin Lin took the Star Trek cast and crew outside to shoot a big action scene and we’ve got an exclusive first look at the film, including the new Starfleet uniforms and a major new character in the franchise!

All we know of Idris Elba’s part in Star Trek Beyond is that he’s playing a bad guy, and while the latest video for the film’s charity drive / contest doesn’t offer any more hints, it does feature Elba and co-star Chris Pine arguing over Captain Kirk’s chair and having a bit of a pissing contest. Maybe the third Star Trek film should be nothing but these two charmingly bickering.

A while back we heard talk of Chris Pine potentially starring in Wonder Woman opposite Gal Gadot, but then we also heard some rumors about Pine potentially playing one of the leading superhero roles in Green Lantern Corps — that seemed to confirm that Pine was in talks to star in something for Warner Bros. and DC, and now it’s been made official. Pine will play Diana Prince’s love interest in Wonder Woman.
