The ’90s action favorite is getting an update.

The project, directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, is headed to Cannes.

This week, it was announced that both ‘Cliffhanger’ (a semi-popular Sylvester Stallone movie) and ‘Stargate’ (a movie I once got for free along with ‘Lost in Space’ after the purchase of a DVD player) are being rebooted, which means that everyone is officially out of movie ideas...

Following in the footsteps of the upcoming 'Point Break' remake, 'Cliffhanger' is now getting the reboot treatment from 'Fast and Furious' producer Neal Moritz. Hollywood seems to have moved on from remaking horror classics, so perhaps now they're turning to action movies.
