Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' took a bit of a break from the Hydra fallout of 'Captain America: The Winter Solider' in this past week's "The Only Light in the Darkness", but next week's "Nothing Personal" heads right back into the danger zone with 'Hulk' antagonist Glenn Talbot and Maria Hill herself, Cobie Smulders. We last saw Maria applying for a familiar job, so why does the first clip from "Nothing Personal" see the displaced agent leading a team against Coulson?

Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' had an hour to catch its breath in this past week's "Providence," following the game-changing events of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' but Coulson and the team aren't the only ones in need of a catch-up. Fresh off the 'How I Met Your Mother' series finale, Cobie Smulders will return Maria Hill to the forefront in antepenultimate 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' episode "Nothing Personal," and we have the first look at Maria's new gig!

And just like that, Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is back on top. Where last night's game-changing installment "Turn, Turn, Turn" incorporated the events of 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' in an action-packed hour that saw the Clairvoyant outed and S.H.I.E.L.D. in shambles, another movie heavy-hitter signed on for a climactic appearance. Fresh off her 'Winter Soldier' role, 'How I Met Your Mother' star Cobie Smulders will return as Agent Maria Hill in an upcoming 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' installment, and we've got your first look.

Admittedly, I’m feeling much more melancholy today about the  ‘How I Met Your Mother’ series finale than I expected. Which, on the surface, makes little sense because, boy, Season 9 has been a slog to watch. (I was once a religious viewer, but now it’s come to the point where, over this past weekend, I had to participate in a ten-episode marathon just to get caught up for the finale.) Look, I’m pretty late to the “this final season has been bad” chorus, but I don’t think that’s really the point here – or, at least, it doesn’t quite explain why I feel forlorn about a show that recently I found difficult to watch.

As if 'How I Met Your Mother' hadn't been under enough criticism in its ninth and final season, the most recent installment "Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra" seemed to highlight several surprisingly racist Asian stereotypes that have appropriately caused an uproar. Following the controversy, series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have reached out to apologize for the offensive nature of the episode.
