It's always heartbreaking when a critically-acclaimed show struggles to find an audience, and subsequently the network gives them a hard time about finding air dates or generating publicity. Occasionally series stars will speak out against that treatment, but is it still biting the hand that feeds with another hand lined up? Could 'Cougar Town' be counting chickens before they hatch? Perhaps a third metaphor?
Poor Bill Lawrence has had to deal with a good deal of turnaround in his career, first after NBC opted not to pick up an eighth season of 'Scrubs,' before ABC picked up the final season and hosted a quasi-spin-off, before pulling the plug on its first season. So too has 'Cougar Town' had its share of shuffling by ABC, but now it seems as if Courtney Cox and her wine-drinking friends might have a new home for a fourth season...
Kids these days. They see Michelle Williams the movie star, wife of the late Heath Ledger, Joshua Jackson as star of the critically-acclaimed 'Fringe,' James Van Der Beek as the hit meta-character of 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, or possibly a fourth celebrity beyond that. Don't they know that Paula Cole's music once radiated from the docks of 'Dawson's Creek,' putting Michelle Williams on the map? So, might we ever see a reunion?
