Russell Crowe stands tall in the first 'Noah' poster, released ahead of the soon-to-be-dropped trailer. Though we've been keeping tabs on Darren Aronofsky's Biblical epic for some time now, this new look at the film -- much like the story's events -- does not seem like a vision of good things to come.

It had been a good long while since we'd heard anything about the development of HBO's Michael Chabon-scripted, Darren Aronofsky-directed pilot 'Hobgoblin,' so much so that we'd nearly forgotten about the World War II period illusionist drama, which has been described as "'Inglorious Basterds' with magic." Now, HBO is said to have officially passed on shooting a pilot, with Aronofsky departing as well, though FX may give the series a chance.

When Director Darren Aronofsky released the first construction image of Noah's ark from the set of 'Noah' during San Diego Comic-Con week, we all just about wet ourselves with excitement. Since then, everyone's been glued to his Twitter account as he demonstrated time and time again that he likes to keep fans updated on the project with new set images and tweet updates.
Now the latest image to come from behind the scenes of 'Noah' gives us the first look inside the famous ark, but the semi-funny thing is that it didn't come from Aronofsky but rather Cinematographer Matthew Libatique.

Darren Aronofsky has been doing a bang-up job updating us on his upcoming project 'Noah' via his popular Twitter feed -- tweeting out that set pic of the Ark that went semi-viral and details on filming out of Iceland. This latest look, however, isn't coming from the 'Black Swan' director. Paramount Pictures recently released the first image of lead actor Russell Crowe all suited up for his title role as Noah.

Those of us following director Darren Aronofsky on Twitter – and if you aren’t, do so now – already know that the ‘Black Swan’ helmer has embraced social media and uses it daily to update interested parties on the development of his Biblical epic, ‘Noah.’ For example, he has alerted us that USA Today will have a “First Look” photo up soon. We’ll keep our eyes open for that. In the meantime, we have some fresh casting news for the movie, even though it has been filming for several days now.

Though he's currently hard at work on 'Noah,' it seems that Darren Aronofsky is lining up his next project, and it looks to be 'The General' - a bio-pic on America's first president. Currently Paramount is in negotiations to pick the film up for him, which would be his second picture in a row for the studio.
