We’ve done our waiting, and now it’s finally here — feast your eyes on the first official Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer! All of our favorites are back, plus a few new faces and one very big tentacle monster. This trailer keeps the rock music vibe of the first movie alive with their choice of Sweet’s “Fox on the Run,” and it looks just as fun, if not even more fun, than its predecessor.

Well that was quick! Not long after debuting the first official teaser poster, James Gunn has revealed the first honest-to-goodness teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — and if you were digging that poster, you’re going to love this teaser, which features the delightfully familiar sound of “ooga chaka, ooga chaka, ooga ooga chaka.” Everyone sing along!
It’s been over a year since Blade Runner 2 tapped Sicario director Denis Villeneuve to helm, with Ryan Gosling joining Harrison Ford in the long-developing sequel to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic. With filming slated to begin this summer, the project is really starting to come together, with Robin Wright joining the cast as of yesterday, while today brings an interesting potential new addition: Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista.
Over the last few days, James Gunn has been sharing some photos from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast rehearsals, featuring a very grumpy Michael Rooker and a cast of total screw-ups who have to learn a thing or two from Dave Bautista. We still have a while to wait before we see the cast back in costume as the unlikely group of heroes, but these rehearsal photos make that wait a little easier.
It might be for the best that this scene never made it into the final cut of Guardians of the Galaxy, since it might have inspired a terrible mash-up t-shirt with a drunk Drax in Joker makeup asking, “You wanna know how I got these scars?” Still, if you were curious about Drax’s tattoos in Guardians, this deleted scene has your answer.
You’re probably going to want to get the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase Two Collection Blu-ray box set anyway, what with the six movies and 166 hours of extra material and all, but if you were somehow unconvinced, we offer up this video as a taste of what you get when you make that purchase. The video above is never before seen footage of Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista auditioning for Guardians of the Galaxy back in early 2013.
In accordance with the commandment from god that any and all film properties that enjoyed popularity during the early ‘90s must be exhumed and capitalized upon, a new generation shall soon receive a Kickboxer of their very own, to be titled Kickboxer: Vengeance.
As we prepare for the latest James Bond outing to hit theaters next week, Sony has been saturating fans with new TV spots and clips from Spectre — and while it’s easy to ignore most of them, the latest clip from Bond’s 24th outing is really, really, really good. How good? Well, have you ever wanted to watch James Bond duke it out with Bautista on a train? You have, you just never knew it until now.
Robert De Niro has occasionally dipped his toe in the serene waters of “out of professional f—s to give,” but with the trailer for his latest film it would appear that he’s fully submerged himself for this one. Heist looks like a bland ripoff of Casino and Ocean’s 11, with De Niro once again playing a gangster who runs a casino, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Dave Bautista playing the guys who attempt to rob him.
You probably know Dave Bautista as Drax, the knife-wielding, overly literal member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Or maybe you know Bautista from his days in WWE, where he was a frequent world champion and last left the company with maybe the funniest wave goodbye ever. Perhaps you’re a huge fan of The Man with the Iron Fists (but I kind of doubt it). However you know Bautista, you probably think of him as an intense, brooding badass. But apparently there’s a Dave Bautista we don’t know, Bautista who’s ... a huge Star Wars nerd?
