How Much Money is Netflix Putting into 'Hemlock Grove?'

Independent of embarrassing mishaps like that "Qwikster" nonsense, it would seem that Netflix has quite a bit of money to burn these days.  There's that prized acquisition of the rights to new 'Arrested Development' episodes, doubling down on the Kevin Spacey drama 'House of Cards' with a two-season order, and even a renewal for Steve Van Zandt's 'Lillyhammer.'
Still those might pale in comparison to the money being sunk into upcoming supernatural scare-fest 'Hemlock Grove,' according to the latest report.

After spending the past few years writing, acting, producing, hanging out and generally doing everything but directing, director Eli Roth is set to return behind cameras for an all-new original horror film titled 'The Green Inferno.' No details about the film's plot were given but let's see what we can find out about this new project...

Netflix may have passed on the pricey 'Terra Nova' but the online streaming and DVD rental service has no problem poaching its stars. Landon Liboiron, who played Josh on the costly dino-drama is the latest casting for Eli Roth's 'Hemlock Grove' an original horror series produced by Netflix in partnership with Gaumont International Television.

With Netflix slowly, but steadily marking their evolution into original programming, the video streaming service has just recruited some serious horror talent for their forthcoming 2013 series 'Hemlock Grove.'  Not only will master of horror Eli Roth take the reigns of the series in his first TV effort, but the series will boast plenty of star power as well.
