Director Damien Chazelle caught everyone’s attention in a big way with Whiplash, his debut feature film starring Miles Teller, which (rightfully) earned J.K. Simmons an Oscar. His next film is based on a screenplay he wrote before Whiplash, and it might very well star two of the most lovable actors alive: Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, who previously appeared together in Gangster Squad.

When we compiled our most anticipated movies of 2015 here at ScreenCrush, I fought hard to include Cameron Crowe’s new movie ‘Aloha.’ True, ‘Elizabethtown’ was sort of a disaster (about a disaster, so it was thematically appropriate, if hugely disappointing), and ‘We Bought a Zoo’ wasn’t a whole lot better, but after ‘Jerry Maguire’ and ‘Almost Famous,’ I just refuse to give up hope that this guy will find his way back to that genius he’s shown repeatedly throughout his career.

Amid all the major blockbusters and new superhero movies we’re excited about this year, there’s one film we’re looking forward to that’s a little different: Cameron Crowe’s latest film which stars Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, and was previously operating under “Untitled Hawaiian Project” during production. Crowe’s latest effort, which hits theaters in late spring, has now been given the appropriate title of ‘Aloha.’

Merciful Zeus, if you thought Eddie Murphy returning to ‘SNL’ after 31 years for the 40th anniversary special on February 15 was big enough, wait until you get a load of the full roster. Rivaling turnout for the Emmys and Oscars combined, the upcoming ‘SNL’ reunion will feature everyone from legendary alumni like Bill Murray, Tina Fey and Chevy Chase, to favorite hosts like Alec Baldwin, and even Taylor Swift, why not!

Although we were a bit underwhelmed by Woody Allen’s last film, ‘Magic in the Moonlight,’ we—much like the fictional characters in the film, and humanity as a whole—were still charmed to pieces by Emma Stone’s performance. Stone is reteaming with Allen for his next film, which also stars Joaquin Phoenix and, based on the cast alone, seems fairly promising. We haven’t known much about his upcoming project, but it now has an official title: ‘Irrational Man.’

The other day we brought you the not-so-shocking revelation that Adam Sandler is the most overpaid actor in Hollywood (for the second year in a row!), but what about the actors who made 2014 a great time at the movies? We’re talking about the leading men and women who aren’t necessarily the highest-paid, but who have brought in the most money at the box office—proving their successful ability to draw millions of people to see their films, sometimes more than once. It probably won’t surprise you to learn that your imaginary BFFs Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt are at the top of the list of the highest-grossing actors of 2014.

Just the other day, it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence has met with Paul Feig, the director of the upcoming all-female ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot. Rebel Wilson also admitted to meeting with her ‘Bridesmaids’ director about the film. And now, thanks to another report on the hacked e-mails from Sony, we know that the ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot has attracted interest from even more talented women: Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, Lizzy Caplan, and Amy Schumer all want in on this exciting new project.

There have been a ton of rumors flying around the, um, web regarding Sony's plans for the world of Spider-Man. Things are a bit of a mess over there right now, and the future seems to be a bit uncertain, with only the 'Sinister Six' project moving ahead -- and even that project has had some question marks floating around. Some of the rumors we've been hearing have been potentially cool (like that all-female Spider-Man team-up), while others, like the one circulating today, are a bit weird: Sony is considering bringing Gwen Stacy back for another 'Amazing Spider-Man' film.

There've been so many 'Spider-Man' movies, from Sam Raimi's Tobey Maguire-led trilogy to the rebooted run with Andrew Garfield, and the cinematic universe is about to expand even more with spinoffs for 'The Sinister Six,' 'Venom' and a female-led character. At this point, any new 'Ghostbusters' movie has been fancasted within an inch of its life. Any actor working today under the age of 40? They've been considered for the 'Ghostbusters' movie. Shoot, there's a chance you were considered to star in the 'Ghostbusters' movie. So, there's no point in going over yet another list of who should star in 'Ghostbusters 3' or whatever it is they're calling it these days. Unless, of course, the person who made that list is Bill Murray. In that case, *in rapt*.
