Boy, that HBO sure doesn't worry about burning a hole in its original programming slate, does it? In the same year that promises an end to 'True Blood,' 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'The Newsroom,' HBO has officially canceled future seasons of Stephen Merchant's dramedy 'Hello Ladies,' as well as Christopher Guest's 'Family Tree.' Do any of HBO's off-season shows have future seasons ahead?

Along with a fresh episode of 'Game of Thrones' and a sneak peek of Steven Soderbergh's forthcoming Liberace biopic 'Behind the Candelabra,' HBO also gave us our first full trailer for acclaimed mockumentarian Christoger Guest's first ongoing TV series 'Family Tree.' The new series from the 'Best in Show' director features 'Girls' and 'This is 40' star Chris O'Dowd in the lead role, along with a number of Christopher Guest favorites, so check out the full trailer inside!

It's been a banner weekend for HBO, what with three new trailers for 'Game of Thrones' season 3, the 'Girls' season 2 finale and a fresh trailer for 'Veep' season 2, but the pay-cable network isn't done yet. The latest buzzing HBO project to deliver a first look is none other than acclaimed mockumentarian Christopher Guest's new series 'Family Tree,' premiering in May with 'Bridesmaids' and 'Girls' star Chris O'Dowd in the lead. One upcoming gem we know to be arriving sometime in early 2013 is that of Christopher Guest's new HBO TV series 'Family Tree,' starring 'Bridesmaids' and 'Girls' actor Chris O'Dowd as a man learning about his family, but what new details did Christopher Guest himself bring to the tour?

It's no secret that certain directors have a stable of actors they work with in an almost religious capacity. Tim Burton can't seem to do anything without Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter, Wes Anderson has Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman, and so on, and so forth. So when HBO announced that famed mockumentary director Christopher Guest was to develop his own series, was it any surprise that Fred Willard, Michael McKean and Ed Begley Jr. would eventually be on board as well?

The prospect sure seemed surprising when it was first announced that writer/director Christopher Guest was looking to take his talents to TV, but now it's been set in stone that the 'Best in Show' director will develop a new comedy for cable.  Guest's 'Family Tree' will hit the airwaves sometime in the near future, but what network opted to pick up the series, and who have they gotten to star in the project?
