The ‘X-Men’ franchise is headed for an ‘Apocalypse’ in the near future, making headlines left and right with its latest castings, but a small-screen outing of Marvel’s mightiest mutants might evolve into place as early as 2016. FOX has confirmed development on a potential ‘X-Men’ TV series, though Disney may well block the efforts.

FOX’s ‘Gotham’ spends most of its time setting up major DC villains, rather than feature them outright, but at least one of Batman’s future baddies will come out of the box to play. ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ and ‘Thor’ star Colm Feore will stop by Batman’s beginnings as the villainous Dollmaker, but could the character have any connection to the ‘Arrow’ villain of the same name?

FOX’s returning ‘24' as event series ‘Live Another Day’ proved a reasonably successful gamble, but fans of ‘The X-Files’ and ‘Prison Break’ may have much more reason to celebrate. The network has confirmed the possibility of returning either series (or both) for limited runs, even commenting on the fate of future ‘24.’

We’ll see quite a bit of Lena Dunham this coming weekend by the ‘Girls’ season 4 premiere, but only hear her when ‘The Simpsons’ returns for its 27th season. The erstwhile Hannah Horvath will officially lend her voice to the FOX animated family’s fall premiere, but what surprising relationship might her character have to Homer?
