Though HBO Golden Globe-winner 'Girls' courts plenty of controversy all on its own, series star Christopher Abbott made waves a few months ago with the news he would abruptly depart the series altogether, despite season 2 finale "Together" positioning his character Charlie for a larger role in season 3. Abbott was reported at the time to be feuding with creator and star Lena Dunham, though now the actor has finally gone on record to explain his departure.

The additions and departures of Netflix's 'Orange is the New Black' season 2 not withstanding, it seems criminal how long we'll have to wait for any new episodes. Thankfully, HBO's 'Girls' season 3 will bring us a Taystee treat earlier on in 2014, sentencing 'Orange is the New Black' favorite Danielle Brooks to the Lena Dunham-scripted comedy in season 3!

For an HBO series about twenty-somethings in Brooklyn, HBO's 'Girls' certainly likes to keep things under wraps in between seasons. As production on season 3 of the Lena Dunham-scripted series continues, 'Fruitvale Station' star Melonie Diaz is the latest guest star confirmed to join the cast in a hush-hush role, and the actress had some interesting words for Dunham's directorial style along the way.

Despite the fact that HBO's 'Girls' lost most of its Emmy-nominated categories at the 2012 Emmy Awards, the producers of long-running FOX animation staple 'Family Guy' believe they've finally found their way to consideration. The latest controversial 'Family Guy' submission takes aim at the critically debated HBO series, and they might have something of a mess on their hands. Among other places.

Not that HBO's 'Girls' didn't already court its fair share of controversy, but the Lena Dunham-scripted series took an exceptional amount of criticism this past season for sex scenes between Dunham's character Hannah and guest star Patrick Wilson, as well as those between star Adam Driver and guest Shiri Appleby. With production on 'Girls' season 3 underway, Dunham has issued her own responses to the criticism, calling one scene a "terrible miscommunication."

'Girls' season 3 was thrown for a loop shortly after the airing of season 2 finale "Together," when series star Christopher Abbott abruptly quit the series after his character Charlie was positioned to take a more integral role. Now that 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'The Walking Dead' star Michael Zegen has joined 'Girls' season 3, however, speculation has begun that Zegen may replace Abbott in the role rather than portray an original character.

Yesterday we learned the admittedly unsurprising news that HBO's 'Girls' was due to receive its very own porn parody, courtesy of Hustler. The HBO dramedy's regular use of explicit material led the director to declare he didn't have to change very much in crafting his parody, but what does 'Girls' creator Lena Dunham have to say on the matter? Check out the latest 'Girls' controversy inside!
