Hey look! It’s the idol of millions, the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing! A new trio of images from Empire revealed the new version of Yancy Street’s favorite son from director Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

It may still be a while before we see another trailer for the Fantastic Four reboot, but for those curious to learn more about the upcoming film, director Josh Trank and writer and producer Simon Kinberg made four new featurettes to take you behind the scenes. In the videos, Trank and Kinberg explain their casting choices, noting that they were aiming for a more dramatic tone, which is why they cast some of the best dramatic actors around.

In an age where audiences are inundated with superhero movies and superhero movie news, Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot has distinguished itself from the pack by being the movie that no one knows anything about. Aside from that vague, Interstellar-inspired teaser trailer, most of what we know about this film comes from hearsay and gossip. Depending on who you talk to, the film is either coming along fine or it’s an incomprehensible disaster. Could the brand new poster for the film give us anything new to chew on?

Up until the first teaser trailer was released last month, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. We know the casting by heart now, and we’ve learned some eyebrow-raising details about the revamped origins of Doctor Doom, but we haven’t seen or heard very much about ‘Fantastic Four’ or how director Josh Trank is approaching the younger cast of characters and their abilities.
