FOX’s Last Man on Earth has been through quite a few ups and downs its first season, between critical wavering and repeated defiance of its title, but with Season 2 already a go, Lord and Miller’s comedy apocalypse brought out all the stops for its first season finale “Screw the Moon.” Find out what major turn and surprise cameo closed out The Last Man on Earth, and what it means for Season 2 by our full review!
Jason Sudeikis - Page 3
Hey, remember when there were reports of a new Fletch movie that could star Jason Sudeikis? And hey, remember when we heard about it again not long after that? That’s pretty much all we heard about the project before it seemed to vanish, but now you get to hear more about it all over again! That planned reboot is still very much planned, with Sudeikis still very much attached to star in the role originated on screen by Chevy Chase.
This trailer for Masterminds, which teams Zach Galifianakis with Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess, claims it is “based on a true story.” And its Wikipedia page says basically the same thing; that this tale of blundering criminals is inspired by a 1997 robbery that took place in Charlotte North Carolina, where bandits stole over $17 million from the vault of an armored car company.
Merciful Zeus, if you thought Eddie Murphy returning to ‘SNL’ after 31 years for the 40th anniversary special on February 15 was big enough, wait until you get a load of the full roster. Rivaling turnout for the Emmys and Oscars combined, the upcoming ‘SNL’ reunion will feature everyone from legendary alumni like Bill Murray, Tina Fey and Chevy Chase, to favorite hosts like Alec Baldwin, and even Taylor Swift, why not!
‘Late Night’ host Seth Meyers’ Second Chance Theatre—a second home for the ‘SNL’ skits that never were—has so far given a playground to some wild stuff, but former ‘SNL’ star Jason Sudeikis had something a little more lo-fi in mind for his spin on the ol’ Second Chance-mobile. You can practically hear the pitch meeting: “It’s about a guy who wants to give juggling lessons, but everyone hates him.” Simple enough, right?
Some ideas just aren’t cut out for sequels. ‘The Hangover’ was ingenious and hilarious—for one movie. But another ‘Hangover’? With the same guys? That doesn’t make a ton of sense. ‘The Blue Lagoon’ was striking and exotic. But a ‘Return to the Blue Lagoon’? More castaways? On the exact same deserted island? Sorry, no thanks. To the list of concepts that could not support a sequel but got one anyway, we can now add ‘Horrible Bosses 2,’ a flimsy retread of the 2011 comedy that had barely enough material to fill one film.
If you thought we wouldn't get to take pleasure in seeing Kevin Spacey's hilarious jerk of a boss steal at least one scene in 'Horrible Bosses 2,' think again. Universal has released the first official clip from the upcoming sequel, featuring Spacey's Dave Harken, in prison, delivering a lovely verbal smackdown to his former would-be killers.
Angry Birds continues its world-wide domination, as the first ever 'Angry Birds' movie keeps on truckin' along, but here's a major new development! While last we heard the film would be ready for a 2016 release with some veteran animators at the helm, today brings our first look at these walkin', talkin', pig-hatin' birds as animated characters. Better still, we finally know who's going to be voicing them on the big screen!
A new, full trailer for 'Horrible Bosses 2' has arrived, and in it we see just what it is that has driven our favorite bad co-workers/besties to such horrible lengths this time around: turns out, being an entrepreneur isn't as easy as you might think, and neither is kidnapping ... or, uh, "kidnaping." They're not so great at spelling, either.
The second full trailer for 'Horrible Bosses 2' is here, and it features some seriously amateur kidnapping maneuvers, as the guys try to put together a foolproof plan to help Chris Pine's character get revenge on his dear old dad, played by Christoph Waltz. If these guys can't even spell "kidnapping" correctly, we don't see this thing turning out very well.
