'Oz: The Great and Powerful' went all out for its red carpet premiere on Wednesday with a yellow brick road and even a recreation of James Franco's hot air balloon from the film. Though the rest of us have to wait until March 8 to see this in theaters, a new sneak peek has hit the web thanks to one of the Wicked Witches from the movie, Rachel Weisz.
Jimmy Kimmel Live
A joke ten years in the making, last night Jimmy Kimmel fans were in for a treat as the oft-put upon Matt Damon finally got his revenge on the late-night host. No longer would Kimmel close his every 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' broadcast with "apologies to Matt Damon," but rather the prolific movie star duct-taped Kimmel to a chair and took over the program from the beginning. Along with a host of guest stars including Robin Williams and Ben Affleck, check out Damon's take-over of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' inside!
Sigh, was there ever a time in our lives where the various hosts of late night TV weren't in one feud or another? If there was, it probably wasn't while 'The Tonight Show's Jay Leno was around. Hear more about the bitter rivalry inside!
Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards last night, and if you're wondering how he did... well, not great. There were a few semi-funny bits here and there, but for the most part, the presenters were more entertaining than he was.
But one part that was enjoyable to watch was Kimmel's opening skit, which featured all our favorite ladies of television (excluding anyone from 'Modern Family'). Now, thanks to the folks at 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' you can watch the entire opening skit right here.
The Late Night wars are about to get more crowded. Since it debuted in 2003, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' has aired at midnight, a half-hour after both 'The Tonight Show' and 'The Late Show with David Letterman.' But ABC has announced that starting in January, 'Jimmy Kimmel' will move to 11:35pm and compete directly with both Leno and Letterman.
In case you hadn't heard, Louis C.K. was recently cast in Woody Allen's upcoming (and untitled) movie. Interestingly enough, Andrew "Dice" Clay was also cast in that same movie, which also stars Alec Baldwin and Cate Blanchett. Yeah, WTFs all around. Louis C.K. was on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' last night and elaborated on the weirdness and the film while giving his impression of Dice doing his impression of Woody Allen.
Traditionally, the White House Correspondents Dinner is an opportunity for the President of the United States to let his guard down and become an entertainer for evening, performing a comedy routine for the crowd before taking his seat and being playfully roasted by a comedian. This year, President Barack Obama was joined by late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Since this is the internet, both of their routines are online for you to see!
