The success of 2013’s Snowpiercer can’t be overstated, between director Bong Joon-Ho fighting the Weinsteins for an uncut version, and earning a wider release by word-of-mouth praise, but we can’t say we expected a TV adaptation to follow. And yet, Tomorrow Studios has optioned the rights for a Snowpiercer series based on the South Korean sci-fi, as written by Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles scribe Josh Friedman.

While it's only been a week since 'Veronica Mars' first launched a movie Kickstarter to massive success, already fans from dozens of past TV series have begun asking if their favorites will be next for the Kickstarter treatment. And while Joss Whedon has spoken out about 'Firefly,' and both 'Pushing Daisies' and 'Chuck' seem like viable candidates, what of canceled fan-favorite 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles?' 'Homeland' and 'Terminator' Scribes Developing Robot Drama for NBC

Somebody get Will Smith on the line, because this one sounds a little familiar.  'Homeland's executive producer Howard Gordon and 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' writer Josh Friedman are combining their love of drama and robots for NBC, developing a high-concept mystery series set in humanity's future.  NBC has certainly attempted its share of complex, layered sci-fi in recent years, but will a robot uprising be the next big buzz?
