While he’s not donning the vibranium suit and saving the world as Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman has been moonlighting as Thurgood Marshall, the first-ever black Supreme Court Justice who rose to fame when he took on one of the cases that defined the Civil Rights Movement.

Star-on-the-rise Chadwick Boseman is making all the right moves. He came to prominence on the back of his Black Panther role first glimpsed in the recent Captain America: Civil War, and will square off against an emo Michael B. Jordan in this February’s solo film. But an actor’s only as good as the Serious Movie they use their blockbuster clout to get made, and for Chadwick Boseman (how great is that name? I want to only ever write it in full), that movie is going to be the Thurgood Marshall biopic Marshall. And now we can get an impression as to how this pivot from Civil War to Civil Rights is working out for Chadwick Boseman, as a trailer has surfaced online.

There’s no easy way to say this, but if you saw Beauty and the Beast in theaters, you were ROBBED. All week long Disney has been dropping additional content from the hit live-action remake online to promote the upcoming Blu-ray release, including some pretty darn cute behind-the-scenes footage. But there is nothing cute about the latest clip, in which director Bill Condon reveals a scene that was unjustly deleted from the film. That sneaky dude has been holding out on us.

Is Josh Gad just screwing with us or what? A few weeks back, the Beauty and the Beast star tweeted a photo of Batman villain Penguin without comment, leading many to speculate that he might be up for a role in Ben Affleck’s new solo film — speculation fueled by the fact that DC Films heads Jon Berg and Geoff Johns had recently followed Gad on Twitter. Although the actor clarified his tweet shortly after, his latest social media post might be backtracking on that previous backtrack…or maybe Gad’s just all up in our heads now.

The game is afoot, chums. There’s been a murder most foul, and you are a suspect. That is, in the event that you happen to be Willem Dafoe, Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Tom Bateman, Lucy Boynton, or one of the other travelers aboard the Orient Express. As the grand locomotive makes its hazardous journey through a snow-tipped mountain range, one of the riders commits a heinous crime, and it falls to none other than the great investigator Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh, who also happens to be directing this hullabaloo) to sort out the facts in pursuit of the truth.

Last week, Josh Gad briefly set the internet on fire by posting, without comment, a photo of Batman nemesis The Penguin. As we noted at the time, this also came on the heels of several DC Films executives following the actor on Twitter. That’s a not-inconsequential amount of smoke for any casting rumor, which led plenty of people (ourselves included) to wonder aloud if Gad would have a role in Ben Affleck and Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman movie.

Today’s rumor is somewhat out of left field, and yet entire plausible once you consider it: According to a suspicious tweet posted by Josh Gad, the actor and recent star of Beauty and the Beast might be playing The Penguin in The Batman. And while an actor sharing a photo of a fictional character seemingly at random could mean just about anything, there is some additional evidence to support his potential involvement.

Kenneth Branagh’s big screen adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express is no small affair. In fact, the cast of the film is so enormous that Entertainment Weekly had to rotate the cover featuring the cast to landscape to fit everyone in.

Aah, remember just three weeks ago when we all thought Disney was about to introduce the studio’s first openly gay character? Director Bill Condon said his live-action Beauty and the Beast remake would feature a character having an “exclusively gay moment,” and described Josh Gad‘s LeFou as someone who both wants to be Gaston (Luke Evans), and kiss Gaston. Then critics saw the movie and found no openly gay character in sight. The investigation continues into what exactly an “exclusively gay moment” is – if anyone has figured it out, please let me know – but it’s certainly not whatever happened at the end of Beauty and the Beast.

In a refreshing change of pace, international tensions with Russia have increased due to something other than statements issued from the executive branch of the federal government. The latest subject of global controversy is none other than Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s new live-action remounting of the classic animated fantasy-romance. And rest assured, it’s not the sacrilege of revising the high-water mark of Disney’s ‘90s run that the Russkies are ticked off about. Not since the James Franco/Seth Rogen comedy vehicle The Interview nearly set off World War III with North Korea has Hollywood come this close to igniting a powder keg, and all because LeFou has come out of the closet.
