While it took over 10 years to get a fourth Jurassic Park movie made, Chris Pratt somehow knew he’d be the one to star in it. In a 2010 behind the scenes video for Season 2 of Parks and Recreation, Pratt joked about getting a text message from Steven Spielberg asking him to star in Jurassic Park 4. That’s just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which checks out some facts a million years in the making with Jurassic World!

If Universal had know that Jurassic World was going to shatter box office records and quickly become one of the highest grossing movies of all time, they probably would’ve planned a massive new attraction for their theme parks. But seemingly no one, not even the people who made it, predicted that the fourth film in the beloved series would do this kind of business. While there isn’t a brand new ride or show to capitalize on the success of the new movie, Universal Studios has introduced a very cool velociraptor meet-and-greet, which allows guests to meet the deadliest predator in history...and have their picture taken with it.

When Universal scheduled Ted 2, they surely had no idea that Seth MacFarlane’s swearing teddy bear sequel would be squaring off against one of the biggest box office juggernauts of all time...a juggernaut that they themselves had created. So it’s not surprising that Jurassic World topped the box office again and it’s not surprising that Pixar’s Inside Out held onto second place. What is a little surprising is how low Ted 2 opened, falling significantly short of its predecessor’s opening weekend.

Sigh, Hasbro. Come on. It wasn’t long ago that Hasbro got the ball rolling on an all-woman Transformers team, with new cartoons and toys to follow. That’s great and all, but two steps forward, one step back, right? The latest gender-biased toy screw-up is pretty ridiculous — not necessarily just because it’s sexist, but because it’s so petty and dumb.

Chris Pratt, now potentially Hollywood’s biggest star after Jurassic World became the fastest film ever to gross $400 million, has a history of making kids happy. Earlier this year, he and fellow Marvel-ite Chris Evans appeared, in character as Star-Lord and Captain America, at children’s hospitals in Boston and Seattle delivering toys and cheering up kids and parents alike. Hot off the success of Jurassic World, Pratt was back at it again this weekend, visiting Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and while there he showed off some of his raptor training skills he’s becoming well-known for.

Here’s how crazy this weekend is: Pixar’s Inside Out had the biggest opening for an original, non-sequel of all time...and it still came in second to Jurassic World’s second weekend. There’s literally nothing to ashamed of here. Sure, it may be the first time a Pixar movie hasn't opened in first place, but the only reason it didn’t open in first place is because it was dueling 2015’s greatest juggernaut. These two are worthy opponents and both are victors.

There’s an old expression about how “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.” Truer words were never spoken about the world of movies. Art is completely subjective and there really is no accounting for taste. As an open-minded guy who believes everyone is entitled to their opinion, I’m willing to accept almost any argument in favor of a movie; I may not agree with it, but I’d never deny someone their right to express themselves. The only argument I automatically reject on principle is “turn off your brain.” If the only way to enjoy something is to turn your brain off, then it probably isn’t very good.

Part of the fun of a lot of these big summer movies — like Jurassic World — is going behind-the-scenes to see how the film was designed during the pre-production phase. With Jurassic World being such a huge hit, artist Dean Sherriff and concept art company Gadget-Bot have released a bunch of concept art from the film online giving us a different look at the film that was made, and a new look at the one that wasn’t.

Jurassic World just opened to a record-breaking $209 million opening weekend, but Universal Pictures doesn’t want you forgetting how much you (seemingly) loved the movie. Just five days after it hit theaters, they’ve already announced a Limited Edition Gift Set that includes a 3D Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and a collectible bust that’s...actually kinda of a spoiler.

Just a few days ago, box office analysts were predicting a $125 million opening weekend for Jurassic World. Defying all expectations, Jurassic World brought in a whopping $209 million making it the biggest opening weekend of all-time, beating the previous record holder, The Avengers. The team at Marvel took it all in stride, releasing this poster on Twitter congratulating the Jurassic World crew on their achievement.
