The Kanye West Twitter train shows no signs of stopping, but SNL seems safely out of the crosshairs after a leaked rant saw the controversial performer nearly walking off before air. Of course, veteran pro Lorne Michaels didn’t sweat the meltdown, given that “he’s an artist, you know?”

Spirited a performance though Kanye West gave at this past weekend’s SNL under host Melissa McCarthy, the always-tempestuous artist appeared visibly upset in his brief promo appearances. There may have been more to that story than West’s usual dour expression however, as reports claim Kanye very nearly bailed last-minute over stress.

Although Melissa McCarthy was the guest host on last night’s episode of SNL, the show found a great sketch in which to showcase musical guest Kanye West. In his relatively short run as 'Late Night' host, Seth Meyers has already interviewed Kanye West (remember that whole rant about "sonic paintings"?), so it comes as little surprise that he also landed West's prolific paramour, Kim Kardashian, for her very own interview. The two are currently celebrating the release of their somewhat controversial 'Vogue' cover, so what better way to keep that going then by hitting a reality talk show to chat about it?
