'Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall' is currently in production in Toronto, Canada, and a new video taken on set has revealed a first look at Jim Carrey in action -- sorta -- as his "Colonel Stars" character.
The video itself doesn't provide a ton of excitement, unless actors in superhero costumes standing around and waiting for "action to be called" can be considered exciting, but it still provides us with a good look at Carrey in character in the highly-anticipated sequel.
Though it had been the word for a while, it's now official: Jim Carrey has joined 'Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall' as The Colonel, the leader of the Justice League-esque group Kick-Ass joins in the sequel.
And the (cast) hits keep coming. 'Kick-Ass 2' is looking to add actress Lindy Booth (who you might remember best from her role in Zack Snyder's 'Dawn of the Dead' remake) to the roster in the brand new heroic role of -- wait for it -- "Night Bitch."
Jim Carrey has played a variety of roles throughout the years, carefully treading the waters between comedy and drama. He may be doing that yet again if he accepts the role for 'Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall.'
We knew that 'Kick-Ass 2' was moving forward with a new director at the helm and a new studio footing the bill, but we didn't know which members of the original film's cast would be suiting up for the sequel. Well, now we do and fans of the first movie will be mighty pleased.
