Hey girl, not long ago it was rumored that ‘Lost River,’ the directorial debut from Ryan Gosling, would be heading straight to VOD—but that rumor was quickly debunked, and we’ll be seeing Baby Goose’s new movie in April. Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the upcoming film, which is scheduled to play at SXSW in March after making the festival rounds last year, where it garnered some mixed-to-negative reviews.

Hey girl, we’ve got some slightly disappointing news about your dream husband Ryan Gosling. Apparently even if your name is Ryan Gosling, that doesn’t necessarily guarantee that your directorial debut will get a theatrical release. 'Lost River,' formerly titled 'How to Catch a Monster,' is Ryan Gosling's directorial debut and stars the likes of Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith and Fiz from 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' (Iain De Caestecker) in a story about a teenage boy who stumbles across an underwater town. Too bad the first teaser trailer doesn't reveal any of this except for some of the casting -- all it wants you to do is look at Matt Smith's muscles, damn it!
