Man of Steel

In 'Man of Steel,' Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twentysomething who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. He was sent here to Earth many years ago from the planet Krypton and has since struggled with the question, "Why am I here?" His adoptive parents - Martha and Jonathan Kent (Diane Lane and Kevin Costner) - have helped shape his values but soon Clark will discover that his super powers means he also has to make very difficult decisions. When Earth comes under attack from a fellow Kryptonian named Zod, Clark must become the hero called Superman, the hope the world needs and the protector of the ones he loves.
