'Man of Steel' is only weeks away and a new TV spot has arrived, reminding us that this looks like the comic book movie to beat this summer. Although we've seen some of this footage before, this spot offers us a glimpse at some new stuff, much of which will be of utmost interest to Superman fans.

Since the massive success of Marvel's 'The Avengers,' everyone has wondered when Warner Bros. and DC Comics would get their act together and start teaming up their roster of superheroes on the big screen. Although the long-in-the-works 'Justice League' movie has started and stalled on numerous occasions, 'Man of Steel' star Henry Cavill was recently asked about another possibility. How about a Batman/Superman movie?

If you're excited for 'Man of Steel' (and how can you not be), you're going to want to see this. It's the official 'Man of Steel' prequel that ties directly in to the upcoming movie. With a story by 'Man of Steel' writer David Goyer and director Zack Snyder, this doesn't feature much Superman but it does include a somewhat surprising lead character: Supergirl. Two new posters for next month's 'Man of Steel' have crashed on earth (not including the one we previously revealed the other day of Jor-El), showing us the film's hero and villain in all their glowering glory. Of course, we're talking about Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon).

Considering 'Man of Steel' is 143 minutes long, we have barely scratched the surface at what is going on in the film, despite two trailers. Today, we have a bunch of new 'Man of Steel' pics that promise a deeper look at the film than ever before including a new look at a character that is bound to have hardcore Superman fans up in arms.

Whatever the "Justice League problem" means to you, Lord knows there is one. Warner Bros. was originally set on the idea of bringing this team of DC heroes to the big screen, but has since faltered and are now relying on whether the upcoming 'Man of Steel' succeeds or not to make that decision for them. Still there are many concerns from fans and execs alike about realizing this particular set of characters, but could one of the top working writers of the day, Damon Lindelof, have a solution?

How many superpowers does Superman have? So many that you could create an entire series of 'Man of Steel' featurettes on the subject and not even begin to get to the bottom of it. Three new videos have arrived online, each highlighting one of the character's powers and showing off a bunch of new footage in the process.
