It wasn’t long ago that Flash producers confirmed the ghoulish Black Flash would recur across other CW super-dramas; a likely target being placed on Legends of Tomorrow for its current speedster threat. Now, producers confirm we’ll be seeing the erstwhile Zoom in the flesh (what’s left of it) on Legends, while the penultimate and final Season 2 episodes will bring a crossover promised to “send fans into squeals of joy.”

It’s been several months since The CW first announced an additional animated Arrow-verse series beyond Vixen, aiming to adapt Freedom Fighters: The Ray. Said universe has been understandably busy in recent weeks, but producers tease that The Ray is assembling an “ambitious” writing staff that ties into some larger news about Vixen.

As Arrow’s 100th episode and second “Invasion!” crossover leg will attest, Season 5 has put significant effort into developing a new crop of masked vigilantes, good and bad. One in particular has been rumored for the series for some time, as executive producer Marc Guggenheim is still looking to ask “The Question.”

No one necessarily expects Arrow to hang up the quiver after completing its five-year flashback cycle, but it’s worth asking where stars and producers see the series heading beyond. As such, both Stephen Amell and producer Marc Guggenheim discuss Season 5 returning to form, and what that form might look like going forward.

Arrow fans have come to grips with the idea that certain DC heavy-hitters will likely never make the leap to The CW’s DC shows, but that divide became exceptionally confusing with the shuffling off of Suicide Squad characters in preparation for this summer’s film. Arrow picked one hell of a week for its 100th episode, landing smack-dab in the middle of The CW’s four-way superhero crossover with Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Still, we’ve time yet before the heroes come together, for which producer Marc Guggenheim reveals not only what brings Supergirl to Star City, but also what other familiar faces will pop up for Arrow’s centennial.

Now that all four of The CW’s DC series have begun their fall seasons, fans of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow are naturally looking for setup of the big four-way crossover in the coming months. We know DC’s alien Dominators will serve as the big bad, for which producer Marc Guggenheim teases their intent for the various Earths.

A few weeks back, Flash star Grant Gustin confirmed a pointed new title for the fall 2016 premiere, though Arrow archer Stephen Amell played things a bit closer to the chest for Season 5. Or so we thought, anyway, as the official October 5 premiere title has been revealed.

We’re just hours away from learning how Patrick J. Adams’ mystery DC hero will take us into Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, but those speculating the figure could be an early (and thus unrestricted) identity of Green Lantern are in for a blackest night. Not only do executive producers debunk the Alan Scott rumor, but Green Lantern remains off the table for TV outings.

We’ve already seen on a number of occasions that DC doesn’t share characters well between the movie and TV branches (with the exception of The Flash), but could Legends of Tomorrow at least stretch its timey-wimey magic to bring us a future Batman? Producers think it’s a stretch, but then again, if fans made Supergirl and Flash’s ice cream power hour happen …
