Marc Maron followed the suit of Louie-style comedian dramedies down his own path with IFC’s Maron for four seasons, albeit one that will come to an abrupt end with the current run. Maron confirms that Season 4 will officially put Maron to rest this week, even as IFC would likely welcome a fifth season.

After resurrecting his career with his 'WTF' podcast, Marc Maron is now doing what he might have been asked to do two decades ago: He's anchoring a sitcom. Born partly out of his podcast and own life, his sitcom 'Maron' found a home at IFC, which seems a good fit.
