At long last, the weekend saw Sherlock confirming that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman would hit the Victoria era in early January, but there’s even better news than a new trailer. The BBC has confirmed that Sherlock will follow Doctor Who by heading into theaters, so when can we check out Sherlock: The Abominable Bride?

Up until now, Sherlock creator Steven Moffat has been reluctant to label the impending Victorian episode as a “Christmas Special,” and we now know why. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman will return in January of 2016, as confirmed by a new trailer and photos from Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.
