Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was already going to make all of the money in the world before it set its sights on a leading man with an absurdly passionate fanbase. But now that J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter spin-off is supposedly eyeing former Doctor Who star Matt Smith to play magical animal expert Newt Scamander, this thing is going to be required viewing for everyone with even a single geeky bone in his or her body.

For a film that's set to come out next summer, we've heard precious little about 'Terminator: Genisys.' The latest attempt to resurrect a franchise that was, at one time, one of the coolest film series in the world, the fifth 'Terminator' film surrounds original star Arnold Schwarzenegger with a bunch of people you really like, puts a nerd-friendly guy in the director's chair and crosses its fingers an hopes for the best. Now, we have our first look at the new cast members and the vague outline of a plot, which sounds pretty crazy.

Despite that horrific subtitle for its reboot (yes, we're still not over that title), Paramount Pictures announced release dates for the next two 'Terminator' movies in the new trilogy to hit theaters in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

'Lost River,' formerly titled 'How to Catch a Monster,' is Ryan Gosling's directorial debut and stars the likes of Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith and Fiz from 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' (Iain De Caestecker) in a story about a teenage boy who stumbles across an underwater town. Too bad the first teaser trailer doesn't reveal any of this except for some of the casting -- all it wants you to do is look at Matt Smith's muscles, damn it!
