'Transformers 4' has newly designed autobots, a whole new human cast and some pretty badass-looking dinobots, but according to director Michael Bay, all of that is just the tip of the iceberg. Ahead of the June 27 premiere, Bay revealed that 'Transformers 5' and 'Transformers 6' aren't as far off as we think, as 'Age of Extinction' will kickstart an all-new trilogy. Plus, the man with a penchant for explosions dropped a few new tidbits about the forthcoming dinobot-filled extravaganza.

The 'Transformers' films have operated under director Michael Bay with one basic credo: "Giant F---ing Robots." (It's true! We actually have a cast and crew t-shirt with that printed on the back.) This new 'Transformers 4' poster certainly lives up to that motto as stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz beat foot to avoid - what else? - a giant f---ing robot.

The 'Transformers 4' posters have been out in full force, providing us with closer looks at the human cast -- made up of Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor -- and the newly redesigned Optimus Prime. New 'Transformers 4' Poster: Mark Wahlberg and His Giant Robot Gun

'Transformers 4' is not a reboot, but it has done away with the human cast you may have been familiar with after the first three movies. Taking over for Shia LaBeouf is Mark Wahlberg, who's role in this movie is to be the father of a really beautiful girl (Nicola Peltz, taking over for Megan Fox). Presumably he has something else to do because in this new 'Transformers 4' poster, he's got a really, really big alien gun. And he's ready to use it.

Michael Bay's Completely Unnecessary Remake of 'The Birds' Gets a Director

by Jacob Hall February 28, 2014 @ 12:11 PM
We like to think that we've developed a thick skin when it comes to remakes of classic films, but there's something about a new version of 'The Birds' that cuts right through our armor. After years of development hell, The Hollywood Reporter says the "re-imagining" of Alfred Hitchock's legendary tale of terror has found a director in Dutch filmmaker Diederik Van Rooijen. With all due respect to Mr. Van Rooijen, this is terrible news.

Another 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Pic, This One Not as Encouraging

by Mike Sampson January 30, 2014 @ 8:32 AM
Yesterday, we brought you the first look at the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' from the upcoming Michael Bay-produced reboot. It was all, well, pretty encouraging! They looked, as we noted at the time, about as good as you could expect. Those images were since taken down at the request of Paramount, but today we have another new look at the Ninja Turtles and...it's a lot less encouraging. Actually, they're pretty creepy.
