It isn’t terribly likely that Wet Hot American Summer will gather its all-star cast for an additional Netflix season beyond the Ten Years Later sequel, so stars and producers David Wain, Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black will need something else to do. Enter TBS, who booked the trio on a Moon Cruise for their latest parody series.

Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer prequel First Day of Camp pulled off a herculean enough task in reuniting such a broad and prolific cast, few necessarily expected to pull it off again so soon with a Ten Years Later sequel series. According to original star and Stella partner Michael Ian Black however, near of the entire cast has again signed on to reprise their roles.
Sure, the cast of Wet Hot American Summer may have made themselves known back in 2001, and you’ve potentially heard of a few of them during the intervening 14 years, but what better way to prepare for the First Day of Camp than to meet them all again, a decade olde .. er, a summer younger?
No one knew for certain if Wet Hot American Summer could pull off its prequel reunion series on Netflix, but by the full trailer, the First Day of Camp looks like everything we’ve dreamed.
