Mike Newell's 'Great Expectations' is about to have its coming out party at the Toronto International Film Festival, as that's where it will be having its premiere, and if it's good enough then it might come to theaters in America. But until then here's a clip from the movie, showing the first time that Pip (played here by Jeremy Irvine) meets his benefactor (Ralph Fiennes) as an adult.
Charles Dickens' 'Great Expectations' is no stranger to adaptation. To date, there have been thirteen TV movie (or mini-series) versions, six films, and one 'South Park' parody. Director Mike Newell is the latest to tackle the book, and now there's a trailer, albeit an international one with German subtitles.
