I met up with Teller in Austin where he was passing through on an Insurgent promotional stop. I was eager to see which Teller would show up. The formalwear of the Oscar season was long gone and Teller was dressed bro casual in blue tank top, showing off both his impressive physique and the deep scars from a 2007 car crash that nearly killed him. The contrast between the two recalls the strength and weakness Teller brings to his roles; he's equal parts vulnerable, but looks like he could (and would) kick your ass if need be.

After the Fantastic Four trailer debuted online, and with the subsequent images from the film, many people have remarked that the costumes seen in the trailer looking nothing at all like the outfits worn in the comics. Star Michael B. Jordan has previously described these new suits as “containment suits” because they were looking for something different for this “gritty” take on the film. But, fear not True Believers: we spoke to Fantastic Four star Miles Teller and he told us that you can expect to see something more traditional as well.

A couple of weeks ago, Fox released four new photos from Fantastic Four (get it? Four?), showing off each member of the heroic team. It was only recently that we got our first official look at Josh Trank’s reboot, which promises to be something of a dark sci-fi superhero film, with a new take on some familiar aspects. Today brings four more new photos from Fantastic Four with a couple of things notably missing.

Miles Teller is it right now, and following his intensely committed performance in the critically acclaimed Whiplash, it stands to reason that we’ll be seeing even more of the gifted young actor. Teller has just chosen his next project, The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang, which reunites him with his Two Night Stand producer Ruben Fleischer, who will direct the film based on a true story.

Up until the first teaser trailer was released last month, we weren’t quite sure what to expect from Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. The director previously revealed that his new film was inspired in part by the works of David Cronenberg, which is certainly intriguing. Aside from that first peek, we’ve been mostly in the dark about the reboot, which hits theaters in just six months. Today brings a quartet of new images from the film featuring the four main heroes, and oh, we see what they did there.

Summit has released a new TV spot for ‘Insurgent,’ and due to its brief runtime, this thing really crams in as much action, money shots, and suspense as possible. Shailene Woodley’s Tris is back, still fighting the good fight in her dystopian future society along with pals Ansel Elgort, Theo James, and Miles Teller. We’ve also got a new gallery of photos from the film, featuring some glamour shots of characters both old and new.

After being nominated for two Academy Awards, Jonah Hill could do just about anything. As it turns out, what he plans to do next is star in ‘Arms and the Dudes,’ the new film from ‘Hangover’ director Todd Phillips, based on the true crime story of a couple of stoner guys who get in over their heads and wind up becoming arms dealers. Who will play the role of the other stoner guy? ‘Whiplash’ star Miles Teller is in talks to star opposite Hill, which would make for quite the talented pairing.

Damien Chazelle’s film, ‘Whiplash’—the story of a future jazz prodigy (Miles Teller) and his manipulative, sadistic conductor (J.K. Simmons, who seems to be the odds-on favorite to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor) has had quite the journey this year. It premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival and wound up taking home the top prize. After, it steadily built momentum from word of mouth on the festival circuit and now, having been in release for two months, it still seems to be operating on a word of mouth system. (I still get text messages from friends back in the Midwest asking, “Should I see ‘Whiplash’? I keep hearing it’s good.”)

Rising star Miles Teller has already gotten a lot of attention for his next role: starring in the jazzy thriller 'Whiplash' as a young drummer (of the jazz variety) who finds himself pushed to the breaking point by a somewhat crazy (and definitely offensive) teacher, played by J.K. Simmons. The film is pretty heavy on the music, and within minutes, it's obvious that Teller couldn't have faked the musical side of his performance. Like, at all.
