Gugu Mbatha-Raw first caught the film world’s attention with her lead role in Amma Asante’s Belle, and now she’s quickly becoming one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood. You might recognize her most from her recent stint in Black Mirror‘s delightful romance episode “San Junipero,” but soon you’ll see her in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time, Bad Robot’s God Particle (which she didn’t know what a Cloverfield movie), and hear her voice in Disney’s new Beauty and the Beast. But before those hit theaters, Mbatha-Raw co-stars in Miss Sloane as a stalwart gun control lobbyist.

If you used the internet, turned on a television, flipped open a newspaper, or walked outside to see fat droplets of blood pouring from a crimson sky within the past two days, you may be aware that Donald Trump won Tuesday night’s Presidential Election and singlehandedly upended everything we thought we knew about American politics. Life as we know it is already changing; for people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and immigrants of every nationality, the nation has become a smaller and more hostile place. And as a newly reported story from Deadline indicates, the transfer of power has had (decidedly less grave, admittedly) consequences in the entertainment industry as well.

If you’re not getting enough of Washington D.C.’s seedy underbelly just reading the New York Times every morning, keep an eye out for Miss Sloane later this fall. Jessica Chastain stars in the film as a lobbyist who squares off with the all-powerful gun lobby. (“There’s over five million of us. And we’re armed.”) In the teaser above, Chastain flashes that same steely glare that made her such an incredible lead in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty.
