The DC cinematic universe might be picking up yet another Hollywood A-lister. Nicole Kidman is in talks to join the movie’s cast as Atlanna, the King of Atlantis’ mother, in Jason Momoa’s solo Aquaman movie.

We’ve already seen one look at Mad Men alum Elizabeth Moss back in action for Top of the Lake Season 2, so what of her famous co-stars? Sneak a peek at Nicole Kidman’s grey-haired debut in Top of the Lake: China Girl, which is also now called Top of the Lake: China Girl, apparently.

Sofia Coppola’s latest project already sounds like it could be her most interesting in years, particularly for a longtime fan such as myself who found her last two efforts — Somewhere and The Bling Ring — to be entirely underwhelming (though not without some merit). The director has officially begun production on her next film, The Beguiled, a Civil War-era drama which marks her fourth feature with Kirsten Dunst, and will hit theaters next summer.

A couple of months ago it was reported that Warner Bros. had offered a role in Wonder Woman to Nicole Kidman, with many speculating that the actress would be portraying Hippolyta, a major Amazonian warrior queen and the mother of Gal Gadot’s Diana. When the official lineup was revealed, Kidman’s name was missing and Robin Wright was on the roster, leading us to assume that Wright had taken Kidman’s role — not so fast, as it appears that the studio is considering a shake-up…or maybe not?

I will still find him.” Julia Roberts is not even close to messing around in the new trailer for Secret in Their Eyes, Billy Ray’s remake of Juan Jose Campanella’s gripping Spanish film that won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2009. Secret in Their Eyes looks similar in tone to Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners, featuring plenty of gut-wrenching drama and a revenge-minded, grieving parent.

The cast for Warner Bros. and DC’s solo Wonder Woman movie already had a lot going for it with Gal Gadot in the lead role — although we’ve only seen glimpses of her in action as the iconic superhero, Gadot looks like she might steal the Batman v Superman show next spring. With Patty Jenkins behind the camera and Chris Pine co-starring, Wonder Woman has become increasingly interesting — and it might get even more interesting with the casting of Nicole Kidman as an Amazonian warrior.
