Director Paul Feig has maintained that his new Ghostbusters movie isn’t a sequel or a remake, but a reboot. Basically, it ignores the fictional events and characters depicted in Ivan Reitman’s classic 1984 film — which makes the first trailer for Feig’s movie a bit confusing. If you count yourself among those who were baffled by the trailer, then you can rest easy with the knowledge that someone who is actually in the movie is also confused. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any answers for you.

The first trailer for Ghostbusters offered a sizable preview of Paul Feig’s upcoming reboot, giving us a peek of the team’s proton packs in action, the new ghosts and that goofy receptionist who kind of looks like Thor. But we still haven’t seen the film’s elusive villain, played by Neil Casey — and we still don’t know much about the guy at all, really. Thankfully, recent comments from director Paul Feig and screenwriter Katie Dippold help shed some light on the reboot’s big bad, giving us a better idea of what the ladies will be up against.

It’s okay to call Chris Hemsworth’s character in the new Ghostbusters movie big and dumb — those are his words, not mine. In a brilliant bit of casting, the actor sometimes known as Thor plays administrative assistant to Paul Feig’s ghost-busting crew, and a new featurette from the upcoming film will help you get to know Hemsworth and his earnestly goofy sense of humor (and ridiculous good looks, to be honest).

It’s been a little quiet on the Ghostbusters front in the last few weeks, but Sony has unveiled some colorful new banners featuring three of the characters from Paul Feig’s upcoming film. Melissa McCarthy is strangely absent, but Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig each get their very own promo image, blasting away with their cool new proton packs.

Look, don’t blame me. Blame the world for enabling these people who create April Fools’ Day videos to try to trick you and/or promote their upcoming movies.

In addition to starring in ensemble comedies like Top Five and Think Like a Man, Kevin Hart has made a career out of playing one-half of an unlikely pairing. See also: Get Hard with Will Ferrell, The Wedding Ringer with Josh Gad, the Ride Along movies with Ice Cube and the upcoming action-comedy Central Intelligence with Dwayne Johnson. Hart will continue his streak of Odd Couple comedies with Bryan Cranston in the long-developing remake of the hit French film The Intouchables.

You just can't have Ghostbusters without proton packs. The first trailer for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters did feature a brief shot of the eponymous heroes using their packs, but if you want a better look (and you totally do), this new photo from the upcoming film shows the full potential of that handy ghost-bustin' tool. It's so bright you might need shades just to look at the photo.

Last year, original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman revealed that in addition to Paul Feig’s upcoming film, Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo were developing a separate spinoff with Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum rumored to star. Reitman eventually tried to walk back his comments, and Pratt and Tatum denied their involvement, but leaked emails from that infamous Sony hack had already confirmed that the studio was developing this separate film. Whatever the case, the Russo brothers are no longer involved because they’re a little too busy with the MCU.

Less than a week after the first full Ghostbusters trailer, there’s now a second trailer. An international trailer! All the characters speak exotic languages! (Okay, not really, they all speak English.) But, hey there’s a lot more Chris Hemsworth in this trailer! He’s from Australia! That’s international! (Or Asgard, which would technically make this the intergalactic trailer.)
