Just last week saw Sony TV's forthcoming 'Powers' series adding its highest profile cast to date with comedian Eddie Izzard, but now the comic-adapted drama has entered a whole new district. We're still not entirely certain what to make of Sony TV's forthcoming 'Powers' adaptation, set to debut in December 2014 as a PlayStation original series, but at the very least the comic drama's cast is shaping up nicely. Comedian Eddie Izzard has joined the series in a villainous new role, along with recent 'Game of Thrones' baddie Noah Taylor, and Olesya Rulin.
Sony TV's forthcoming original PlayStation drama 'Powers' has been through quite a few iterations in development, even originally shooting an FX pilot, but now it seems the superhero serial is finally coming together. 'The Following' star Susan Heyward has landed the leading role of Detective Deena Pilgrim, while two more have also been added to the cast.
Brian Michael Bendis' 'Powers' TV series had drifted through TV development hell for years before Sony TV officially greenlit the superhero drama as its first PlayStation original series, and now the first major name has joined. Now, the hero-policing 'Powers' has finally been given the series commitment it deserves, not at FX, but rather as Sony PlayStation's first original drama.
