Portland might be known for its weirdness, '90s-era quirk, and even entire professions devoted to putting birds on things, but with all the celebrities floating through, you'd think it'd be the next Hollywood. Regardless, IFC's 'Portlandia' has managed to obtain some impressive star power in its third season, including everyone from Fred Armisen's 'SNL' castmates, to comic everyman actor Patton Oswalt! Who else is on 'Portlandia' season 3's epic list of names, and when might we see them?

Sure, our lives have all been pretty weird of late, considering the storms that flood the tri-state area one week and drench them in snow the next. Disney announces both its purchase of 'Star Wars' and a revival of 'Boy Meets World,' amid other elements that while weird, just aren't Portland weird. Thankfully, Portland weird will be back in our lives sooner than we thought, as IFC's 'Portlandia' has officially set its return, along with an advance winter special!
Certainly none of the '30 Rock' cast will be hurting for work when the show closes up shop after 7 seasons this fall, but it's an awful lot of talent to pour out on the streets. We know that Tina Fey will next take her talents to lend a voice on 'The Simpsons,' but what of Alec Baldwin? Will he simply return to movies, or continue on the small screen? Might there be a place for him in 'Portlandia' when '30 Rock' is said and done?
Not to be outdone by 'American Horror Story,' (its mostly direct and logical competition) IFC's comedy gem 'Portlandia' will be getting just a bit bigger for season 3, adding actress Chloe Sevigny into the mix with Fred and Carrie. Sevigny was also cast in a recurring role for 'American Horror Story' season 2, so what brings the actress over to the comedy side of things? And how long will she be sticking around before things get weird...er?
Before you turn up your nose at the thought of the "Independent Film Channel" leaning on ads for support, be thankful the network has the ability to bring us a third season of 'Portlandia' and another installment of R.Kelly's epic 'Hiphopera,' 'Trapped in the Closet.'
