Surprised though we were to see True Detective Season 2 step into the light by its first teaser, the lack of dialogue made it difficult to get a grip on the new characters. Now, HBO’s dark and dreary drama goes full-stab ahead with an intense new trailer, and vibrant set of images to match.

It’s been a good long while since we’ve heard anything substantial from True Detective Season 2, but for those wondering if the borderline-obscene sexuality quotient would remain intact, have we got a treat for you! Season 2 will apparently feature a “colossal orgy sequence,” recruiting real-life porn stars Amia Miley and Peta Jensen for aid.

Amid all the major blockbusters and new superhero movies we’re excited about this year, there’s one film we’re looking forward to that’s a little different: Cameron Crowe’s latest film which stars Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, and was previously operating under “Untitled Hawaiian Project” during production. Crowe’s latest effort, which hits theaters in late spring, has now been given the appropriate title of ‘Aloha.’

Where can we find her, a woman like that? HBO’s ‘True Detective’ seeks to answer this very question, and will go straight to the source for an answer. That’s right, “Jessie’s Girl” artist Rick Springfield will lend his vocal and physical talents to the dark and dreary drama serial with a part in ‘True Detective’ season 2, and we’d tell you who he is, but the point is probably moot.

Observing the pre-production and casting process of ‘True Detective’ season 2 has long been an exercise in rumor control. For months now, we’ve talked about the roles and supporting cast of actors like Taylor Kitsch and Rachel McAdams, despite the fact that HBO could only confirm Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn officially cast. Now at least, Kitsch and McAdams have formally joined the party, while Kelly Reilly too has been set in a supporting role.
