Director Peter Berg was doing research on the Navy for 'Battleship' when he spotted a beautiful, young female officer playing football - and holding her own - with the men. She was wearing t-shirt from the punk band The Hoods and Berg starting taking shots with his camera, thinking her look would be perfect for the female character in the film, Raikes.
Later, Berg would track down the officer - Jackie Carrizosa, a Gunner's Mate - via email and formally invite her to work with star Rihanna as a Military Tech, Weapons Officer Expert. Did we mention she's beautiful?

This past weekend of 'Saturday Night Live' offered up a mixed bag  of laughs from host Eli Manning, and a similarly shrug-worthy turn of performances from pop diva Rihanna, but far more interesting is the behind-the-scenes tale.  Apparently, Rihanna managed to piss off some of the 'SNL' bigwigs in a serious way, but what could she have done?

When stories broke that ‘Battleship’ hottie Rihanna was offered the villain role in the upcoming ‘Fast & Furious’ sequel, it felt like a rumor … primarily because the source was Britain’s tabloid The Sun. Now the reputable Twitch says that ‘Immortals’ star Luke Evans actually is being offered the part, plugging into a role that was pitched to Jason Statham.

Rihanna and James Franco, now that's a pair of names that you don't see together all too often. But in reality, there seems to be a lot going on between the superstar singer and the actor, including a video that at one point could have starred the two of them and a possible role for Rihanna in Seth Rogen's next film.
