The dial of Upfronts 2015 has officially landed on CBS, and of six new dramas ordered, a few should feel plenty familiar to fans. Not only has the long-gestating Rush Hour reboot been greenlit to series, so too has the network’s adaptation of Bradley Cooper intelligence thriller Limitless.
Far be it for us to ever question our TV overlords and the small-screen movie reboot trend, but at least some franchises feel fair game for a fresh take. Cue loudmouth Chris Tucker wailing, as ‘Rush Hour’ will move forward with an official pilot order at CBS, written under ‘Scrubs’ and ‘Cougar Town’ creator Bill Lawrence.

The fourth installment in Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan's 'Rush Hour' franchise remains in limbo, though Brett Ratner and 'Scrubs' creator Bill Lawrence have reportedly entered development for a 'Rush Hour' TV series to fill the desperate void no one had ever noticed.
