'This Is The End' has become one of this summer's most anticipated films, thanks to a couple of hilarious red-band trailers (check out the most recent one here, if you are the only person on the internet who hasn't seen it yet). To get your anticipation for it raised even higher, the first clip has just been released and is waiting for you after the jump!
Who said that making videos for the internet wouldn't lead to actual jobs? Well, it helps if you're talented and reasonably popular actors like Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The two performers (who have become known for their popular series on videos on Funny or Die) have joined the new Seth Rogen comedy 'Townies.'
Although Seth Rogen's directorial debut doesn't hit theaters for a few more months, Columbia seems to have faith in his talents: he's signed on the dotted line to direct, produce and star in a new comedy called 'The Interview.' In addition, the studio is apparently eyeing frequent Rogen co-star James Franco for the other lead.
As 'Arrested Development' fans wind toward May and the imminent release of Netflix's revival season, it had seemed the major casting announcements had come and gone, and a trailer would be the next big thing on the horizon. Not so, as we've just learned comic superstars Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig will appear in the upcoming 'Arrested Development' revival, and you'll never guess as who! Meet the latest additions to the Bluth family inside!
Despite his prolific movie career, Judd Apatow favorite Seth Rogen has been making the rounds of TV lately, years after his starring turns in 'Freaks and Geeks' and 'Undeclared.' Most recently we saw Rogen reprise his role as "Dirty Randy" in the final episodes of 'The League's most recent season, and now it seems Rogen will be keeping it in the FOX family by guesting on an upcoming episode of 'The Mindy Project!' Find out about Seth Rogen's FOX return inside!
This is the end. At least it will be as of tomorrow, assuming the Mayan apocalypse arrives as scheduled. In anticipation of the end of the world as we know it, check out this new trailer for the Seth Rogen/James Franco apocalyptic comedy 'This Is the End.'
I imagine the pitch meeting went like this: "Producer: We got Barbra Streisand, we got Seth Rogen, we get 'em in a car. Release it around Christmas. I mean, you gotta take grandma somewhere during the Holidays. Executive: Are there life-lessons involved? Producer: Does the Pope crap in the woods? Of course there are."
Lo and behold, a year later, these two guys found themselves at the premiere for 'The Guilt Trip,' a movie that didn't cost too much to make and won't make that much of an impact but will empower everyone involved to one day strike again.
Many classic but cancelled series hold the distinction of featuring a number of A-list stars before making their big breaks, but few hold such a distinguished roster as Judd Apatow's cancelled 2000 NBC series 'Freaks and Geeks.' The retro series featured the likes of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini, Lizzy Caplan, Busy Philipps, Martin Starr and even Thomas Wilson (Biff of 'Back to the Future'), despite only running 18 episodes. Twelve years later, are you ready to see the entire cast reunite?
