Let’s be honest; even those who’ve watched the entirety of Twin Peaks have a hard time figuring it out, to say nothing of whatever David Lynch greenlights for Showtime trailers. So, without further ado, here’s a bunch of concerned-looking people. Some of them are walking places. Others are Miguel Ferrer. We miss that guy.

The jury’s out on whether we’ll see an actual Twin Peaks trailer before Showtime premieres its May 21 revival, and even the last promo only gave us shots of the town itself. Homeland came to a quieter close than usual this year (kind of hard to top the real-life political circus), but with it, the Showtime drama seemingly said goodbye to one of its own … again. This time around, said star at least confirms the character gave their life, and reflects on the big shakeup in Season 6.

Close to thirty years will have passed when Twin Peaks resurrects on Showtime, to say nothing of how broadcast and cable standards have changed. Still, don’t expect the 2017 revival to undergo any graphic overhaul, as Showtime bosses reveal David Lynch is “taking advantage of cable freedoms,” but “David’s pretty clean.”

At this point, we’ve no idea what to expect from Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival, particularly if David Lynch will allow for any real trailer. All the same, our first official look at the cast’s grand return is here, along with a few scant new details of the “feature film in 18 parts.”

It was around the time that SNL favorites Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah confirmed new Showtime series, that we learned the pair hadn’t been invited back for Season 42. In Pharoah’s case, at least, the Jamie Foxx-produced White Famous was picked up to series, though Showtime now confirms Taran Killam’s dating scene comedy Mating wasn’t so fortunate.

Not since the days of Dallas has a show like Billions made the feuding wealthy seem so … well, rich. Showtime certainly thinks so, confirming a Season 3 renewal just three episodes into the show’s second season.
