When you're attached to a J.J. Abrams movie, you're automatically sworn to keep quiet on some of the key plot points and characters in order to lure the fans in. But when you're dealing with a sequel as monstrous as 'Star Trek 2,' fans will begin to make up all sorts of rumors, especially one that actor Simon Pegg is tired of answering.

Who doesn't love Simon Pegg? The answer: no one. Only bad people don't like Simon Pegg. Therefore, any Simon Pegg-related news is cause for celebration. Fresh out of Cannes, Pegg is set to star in 'Hector and the Search For Happiness.'

Edgar Wright's 'The World's End' To Start Shooting in September

Last we heard from Edgar Wright, he was hired to adapt 'The Night Stalker' for Johnny Depp. But he'd also teased that he and Simon Pegg were writing the third film in their Cornetto Trilogy 'The World's End.' Pegg has been shooting 'Star Trek 2' (but he just wrapped), so it was unknown when the film would be coming. Now we know, they've got a September start date with a planned Spring 2013 release.

The world has been waiting patiently for the next film from director Edgar Wright and actor/writer Simon Pegg. But there comes a time when we're going to stop being so patient.  Pegg, off filming 'Star Trek 2' for J.J. Abrams, took a break to update his fans on the status of 'The World's End', their follow-up to 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Hot Fuzz.'

Boy, that Simon Pegg has his hands in a lot of different cookie jars these days.  One day he's throwing  his voice to one of the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy for 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars,' the next it's back to beaming up for 'Star Trek 2,' so where might the UK funnyman pop up next? Back in time?  Well, that's one frontier Pegg has never boldly gone before.
