Star Trek Into Darkness
We're starting to notice a pattern here. First, we got that 'Star Trek Into Darkness' poster that showed the Enterprise in peril. Then we got the poster with Zoe Saldana's Uhura under fire. Now, we have a poster featuring Zachary Quinto's Spock standing amidst hot molten lava. 'Star Trek Into Darkness' has no shortage of the Enterprise crew being put in mortal danger. Check out the poster below.
The previous poster for 'Star Trek Into Darkness' depicted the famous starship Enterprise at its most vulnerable. The lastest one-sheet continues the trend, placing Zoe Saldana's Uhura in a fiery situation of her own.
'Star Trek Into Darkness' - perhaps the most mysterious film of the summer - is only about a month away and the mystery will soon be revealed. Over the decades, the 'Star Trek' franchise has been a lot of things, but it's never really been about action. Director JJ Abrams pushed this universe in that direction with his 2009 reboot, but there's no denying it with 'Star Trek Into Darkness': this thing is an action movie through and through. Two newly released images from the film do little to change that particular perception.
After watching the latest 'Star Trek Into Darkness' trailer (and the first one, and the second one, and pretty much analyzing every piece of footage shot for shot), we saw a familiar face peeking out from the crowd: Rosario Dawson. Did the 'Sin City' and 'Trance' star secretly win a role in J.J. Abrams' new 'Trek' film?
'Star Trek Into Darkness' played up the light and fun side of the movie in its last trailer, but in the newest international trailer, there's a lot more destruction.
As hard as it is to believe, 'Star Trek Into Darkness' is only two months away. Seems like we're just so used to it being so far away that it's really quite exciting to realize that now, it's closer than you think. To celebrate, we've got two new images from the sequel, as well as news on when you can expect a new trailer to hit. (And that's closer than you think as well!)
There's no getting around it: JJ Abrams has transformed the 'Star Trek' franchise into an action series. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is a question the fans can debate in the comments below, but the newest trailer for 'Star Trek Into Darkness' isn't at all shy about showing off the film's galaxy-spanning action.
