Star Wars Celebration

One of the coolest features at this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration (in addition to the booth where you can get Jar Jar Binks’ face tattooed perfectly over your own face, okay I made that up) is the Star Wars: The Force Awakens costume and prop gallery, where you can peruse the clothes and gadgets used in the upcoming film by J.J. Abrams. Our man on the ground in Anaheim, Mike Sampson, has been snapping pictures left and right, and we’ve collected his best shots below. Because Star Wars Celebration is delivering our first look at the new Star Wars: Episode 7 trailer (among other surprise things), anticipation is high. We're here in Anaheim and last night when doors opened at 6pm, fans rushed to begin the long overnight campout on the concrete floors of the Anaheim Convention Center. It's not a fun way to spend a night, but these are Star Wars fans who are dedicated to the cause. The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams is in town to introduce the new trailer and once he got wind of the massive line, he did right by them and had pizza delivered for every single person on line.

The new Star Wars: Episode 7 trailer will debut at Star Wars Celebration on April 16 as director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy meet the fans to kickoff the festival “in a big way.” We’ll be there to report on all the details, but if you can’t wait until then, a new report has been posted online that details what new footage we’ll see when the new Star Wars trailer finally arrives.
